Join us February 16, 5-7pm, for the opening reception welcoming Mär Martinez’s work into Manners Art Gallery! Martinez will also be giving an artist talk in Roundhouse 101 from 4-5pm. Below is some information on Martinez and her work:
Mär Martinez is a NY based artist specializing in sculptural painting and textile studies. She received the Fulbright Creative Arts Research Award, where she created this body of paintings about the handweaving process. She is affiliated with the Sadberk Hanım Museum and the Mirmar Sinan Fine Arts Univeristy, where she conducted this handwoven textiles and natural dye processes research in Istanbul, Turkiye.
